If the final product requires a higher resistance value of the shrapnel, it is recommended to use stainless steel with double side nickel plated or stainless steel with single side gold plated material.


How to use

When testing the shrapnel, please note some things as follows.

  1. When installing the shrapnel placement work slot, make sure that the shrapnel placement work slot is on a flat plane.
  2. Do not press the shrapnel with your fingers as much as possible during the shrapnel installation. If you press the shrapnel with your fingers, try not to use it on the product.
  3. The working slot of the shrapnel installation needs to leave extra space to avoid the deformation of the shrapnel under pressure, which will lead to the outward extension of the shrapnel, and the normal service life of the shrapnel will be affected if the margin is not enough to lead to the deformation of the shrapnel under pressure.
  4. The use of shrapnel do not always press the shrapnel, to avoid causing failure or damage, the key frequency is not too fast, generally in 3 ~ 5s once do not fall below this number.
  5. Shrapnel can not be soaked in water for a long time, in the water for a long time the surface will line into a layer of oxide film, affecting the conductivity.
  6. Shrapnel life test, it is recommended that the use of ball-type silicone head, to avoid pressure during the test led to shrapnel breakage.
  7. Shrapnel pressure test, you need to measure according to the requirements of the product specification, test pressure first pre-release the stress of the shrapnel, first pre-press 10 times before the pressure test. Pressure test head has specified requirements, product specifications have test requirements.

When using the shrapnel, try to use the same batch of shrapnel, and avoid mixing different batches of shrapnel.


Product Introduction

Metal dome (also known as metal dome, snap dome), (because the switch is like a pot upside down, so commonly known as the pot piece, or 'pot piece'), the English metal dome, made of stainless steel, is an important part of the switch, with the metal dome of the conductivity, between the user and the product to play a quality switch role. The material used for metal shrapnel is relatively thin (usually 0.05mm~0.15mm) stainless steel strip (steel grade usually used 301 or 304), metal shrapnel is an important part of the switch.

Metal shrapnel is mainly used in membrane switches, contact switches, PCB boards, FPC boards, medical devices and other products. The working principle of metal shrapnel: the metal shrapnel on the membrane keypad is located in the conductive part of the PCB board (mostly located above the gold finger on the circuit board), when pressed, the center point of the shrapnel is concave and touches the line on the PCB, thus forming a circuit, the current passes through and the whole product can work normally.

The shrapnel is made of imported stainless steel, which has a low carbon content (0.08%) and high oxidation resistance. The product has passed SGS certification, providing reliable quality assurance, and complies with EU REAH regulations and RoHS directive, the product meets the requirements of environmental protection.
